Austin Robert

Austin Robert is an Associate Attorney who joined Gauthier Murphy & Houghtaling LLC in 2021. Mr. Robert primarily practices in first-party residential insurance claims, handling and seeking the resolution of insurance disputes on behalf of policy holders in Louisiana. Mr. Robert has long been an advocate for the people of Louisiana, previously working for Acadiana Legal Services where he handled housing, employment, and consumer disputes for those in the community that could not afford an attorney.

Austin is a Louisiana native born and raised in Baton Rouge. He is a proud alumnus of LSU and Tulane Law School. While in law school, he was the Chairman of the Tulane Pro Basketball Negotiation Competition – an International Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition. Austin also worked on the negotiation team for the contracts of numerous NBA players. Austin brings a wealth of knowledge relating to high level negotiation and mediation which he employs to help all of his clients reach equitable resolutions.

In his free time, Austin enjoys riding his bike, watching basketball, and spending time with his fiancée, Rebekah, and their two dogs.
