Celeste A. Gauthier

Celeste Gauthier is a partner in the law firm of Gauthier Murphy & Houghtaling. Ms. Gauthier obtained her law degree from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans. Before joining the firm she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Robert Burns of the 24th Judicial District Court in Gretna, Louisiana and to the Honorable Judge Henry Sullivan, also of the 24th Judicial District Court.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyer's Association, New Orleans Bar Association, Jefferson Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Louisiana Bar Association. Ms. Gauthier is a past chair of the Young Lawyers' Section of the Jefferson Bar Association. She has served on the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 2003 and the Council of Directors of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association since 2001. She serves as a fellow in the Louisiana Bar Foundation. She is featured in Who's Who in American Law. She was named a Fellow of the Loyola Institute of Politics and is a a member of the Loyola Law School Visiting Committee.

Ms. Gauthier is active in several community and charitable organizations. She is a member of the United Way's Women's Leadership Initiative and a past member of the Young Leadership Council. Ms. Gauthier is a member of the Jefferson Twenty-Five and the Jefferson Chamber. She is a life member of Cancer Crusaders in New Orleans and a member of the New Orleans Museum of Art Volunteer Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Louisiana Bar Association's Justice for All Ball committee.
