Matthew J. Bordelon

Matthew J. Bordelon is an Associate Attorney at Gauthier Murphy & Houghtaling LLC, where he primarily practices first-party insurance litigation. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he takes great pride in having been a life-long resident of our great state. He is equally proud to advocate zealously on behalf of those members of our community impacted the most by catastrophic loss. In his work, Mr. Bordelon utilizes his particular skillset and experience to resolve complex insurance disputes daily, representing policyholders against their insurers nationwide.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, Mr. Bordelon attended law school at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. There, he became a board member and editor for the Journal of Public Interest Law, and would go on to author his first published scholarly article. He received further recognition for excellence in obtaining the highest grade in his Real Estate Transactions class, and further honed his oral advocacy skills as a member of Moot Court. Before his arrival at GMH, Mr. Bordelon worked at several plaintiffs’ law firms covering a broad range of practice areas, ranging from personal injury to contracts law. His dedication to plaintiffs’ work reflects his genuine commitment to fighting on behalf of those members of the community most in need.

In his free time, Mr. Bordelon enjoys relaxing and spending time with friends and family.
